Happy December! I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving with your loved ones. I ran a very chilly 5K with my husband, brother and dad and 3500 other people on Thanksgiving morning.

Then I slept for the rest of the day… Oh the joys of working the night shift…

November was a crazy busy month at work and it absolutely flew by. The beginning of my December is also going to be busy, but I’ve cleared my schedule and taken a few vacation days in the second half of the month to spend time with my husband on his holiday exodus time.

Here’s what I was up to in November:

Reading::: I had to read a lot of non-fiction for a project, so I needed a fun book to break it up. I flew through Big Little Lies on my Kindle. I really liked one of the author’s other books, What Alice Forgot, so when I saw BLL was only $3.99, I jumped on it. I loved the story of the secret lives people lead vs. what they show the world combined with a mix of past tense and present tense narration. If you need a holiday travel read, I’d highly recommend it!

Diffusing::: Orange + Clove. Its both fresh and spicy and it smells like fall (even though I’m pretty sure we got cheated out of a fall here in Kansas). I’m anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Christmas Spirit oil, hopefully this week!

Wearing::: I jumped on the blanket scarf train and am now wrapping up in big comfy plaid scarves to keep warm. Seriously, why didn’t we get a fall here?

Pinning::: All kinds of neat Christmas DIYs that I probably won’t get to, but still totally want to.

Watching::: Master Chef Junior, these kids blow me away! And the final season of How I Met Your Mother. I’m a little behind…

Anticipating::: Christmas, New Years, birthday weekend… so much to look forward to this time of year! I can’t wait for some serious family and friend celebration time!

What have you been up to last month?
