Found Recipe Friday #18: Thanksgiving

Have you all planned out what you’re making for Thanksgiving? I’m in charge of the mashed potatoes, so I’m going to be trying something new with my mashed potato recipe. Nothing like experimenting when it matters, eh? If it works out, I’ll be sure to share the new recipe with y’all.

I’m doing a 5k Thanksgiving morning with my dad. He will no doubt, win something like he usually does, and I am just hoping to run the whole thing and not freeze to death. After that, I’m sure a nap will be in order before the big meal. We hosted Thanksgiving for both of our families last year, so I’m looking forward to just relaxing this year.

If you haven’t decided what you’re making yet, check out these clean Thanksgiving recipes for some inspiration:

Drink: Apple cider cocktail

Appetizer: Whipped feta on some whole grain bread topped with tomatoes, herbs and olive oil or these salami, olive and mozzerella stacks

-Also check out how to put together the perfect cheese plate

Stuffing: Quinoa, apple and onion stuffing

Sides: Cranberry sauce and ginger glazed carrots

Bread: These fluffy whole wheat rolls

Mashed potatoes: My own of course! Since they’re made in the crockpot, you can free up some stovetop space.

Dessert: Pecan pie or pumpkin pie

What are your Thanksgiving plans? What are you making?
