When it comes to reading ingredient labels, they are some things you would think you wouldn’t have to read. A spice mix just contains spices, right? Unfortunately, you have to read the labels here too. When looking for a taco seasoning, you may find something like this:
Maltodextrin, Salt, Pepper(s) Chili, Onion(s) Powder, Corn Starch, Garlic Powder, Contains less than 22% of Spice(s), Soybean(s) Oil Partially Hydrogenated, Silicon Dioxide As An Anticaking Agent, Flavor(s) Natural, Ethoxyquin Preservative
There are more other ingredients than there are spices in there!

1 tsp cumin
1 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp onion powder
Add to 1 lb. of ground beef and brown.
Once you cook up a pound of ground beef, you can use it in this taco salad recipe:
