Clean Crab Cakes

I first tried crab cakes on a cruise several years and I haven’t been able to get enough since! I was actually surprised at how easy they were to make.

Combine in a bowl:

2- 6 oz. cans crab meat  
2 oz. cream cheese
1 cup whole wheat panko (or you could also use your own fine whole wheat bread crumbs)
1/2 of a large green pepper – chopped
2 eggs
1 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp paprika
salt and pepper

Shape the mixture into patties (I got 9 the last time I made these).

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat

Cook patties 6-8 minutes each side or until golden brown

Enjoy with a little sour cream or dip of your choice!
